In order to promote the holistic development of the youth and under the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust’s $400 million grant, the research team, the Social Welfare Department and the Education Bureau have co-organised a four-year P.A.T.H.S. to Adulthood: A Jockey Club Youth Enhancement Scheme (Phase 1, including the first year trial implementation period) since 2005/06 school year. In 2009/10 school year, after the completion of the first phase, the fund continued to allocate $350 million for the three-year phase 2 of the project. As the project has been well supported by various parties and the effectiveness of the project has been affirmed by various evaluation studies, the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has continued to allocate funds since the beginning of 2013 to implement the three-year phase 3 of P.A.T.H.S. to Adulthood: A Jockey Club Youth Enhancement Scheme, to benefit more young people with the community-based concept.
To gain insight into the effectiveness of the Phase 3 project, the research team continued to use a comprehensive and systematic approach to review the effectiveness of the programme. After the completion of the training activities of Part A (Tier 1) and Part B (Tier 2), organizations must assist the participants and tutors to complete the relevant assessment forms for analysis and use the obtained information to complete and submit assessment reports.
